DescriptionMake A Home Foundation has been providing FREE gently used furniture and household items in Connecticut since 2010. Our mission through outreach and support has helped at risk individuals "Make A Home." We provide Veterans, crisis victims, people and families and other qualified applicants with the very basic furnishings to start over again. Our dedicated staff, Volunteers and strong community partnerships work to solve many community concerns. Additionally, through an increased awareness of our enviromental footprint, MAHF effectively redistributes furniture that would otherwise end up in local landfills.
Forward-thinking, fast paced non-profit looking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. We are currently redesigning our website, and will soon launch a social media campaign. The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team who are very excited to share this exciting launch with an intern hoping to gain a ton of great online experience. We are seeking someone who sees an internship as an opportunity to contribute on a larger scale, not merely a resume builder.
Responsibilities• Contribute to website redesign project in various ways
• Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
• Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
• Website and social media optimization
• Keyword analysis
• Cost/benefit analysis
• Administrative duties
RequirementsStudents applying for this internship should have Junior or Senior status and be Marketing/Business or Communication majors, with 3 years of experience on the Web and a solid understanding of all markets.
