DescriptionA locally developed website/blog featuring children’s activities and family events throughout Connecticut is looking for a content management intern. Will conduct research for local events and topics of interest. Will promote website Events Calendar to non-profit organizations including libraries throughout the region.
A teen and Spanish product will be added so each coordinator will act like a Brand Manager.
In addition to a resume and cover letter, please find two events taking place this month in the region or a topic of interest to people with children and write a sample. Email resume, cover letter, and sample to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Research events throughout CT and select appropriate content for website Events Calendar.
Research, write, and post 1-4 blogs weekly (Monday-Friday, each day has a different theme). Draft content for review by manager before posted on Kidtivity.com.
Promote posts through social media.
Promote Kidtivity.com as a tool for both advertisers and parents through Social Media.
Copywriting with attention to SEO keyword management and formatting photos.
Requirements Skilled at web navigation and capable of using Internet and information sources for research
High attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Ability to look for the “positive” product attributes and present the program, event, product in an appealing way for the audience
Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills for writing advertising to consumers
Basic understanding of Photoshop
Positive, “can do” self motivated attitude and the ability to work independently and take initiative
