The Starving Artists Project is seeking five (5) Brand Strategy and Ambassador Interns who will support our team regarding our organization's marketing and branding initiatives, communication with current brand partners and potential partners, as well as branding through social media.

About The Starving Artists Project
Founded by Michael Bezjian in 2014, The Starving Artists Project (The SAP) is an organization of Getty Images photographers and industry professionals who produce press portrait sessions and donate their time to providing up-and-coming artists with high quality photography at no cost. The SAP leverages the power of brands and celebrities to help develop the careers of starving artists. -You will receive learn-work opportunity and be guided by our Head of Marketing, who will also be a mentor during your tenure
-Learn behind-the-scenes media and marketing processes within the entertainment industry
-Network with other up-and-coming professionals and also with season professionals
-This is a hands-on learn & work internship opportunity. You will be working in a team of five and learning how to manage time, lead, be a team player, share tasks, communicate with clients, create marketing materials, etc.
-We love helping grow. That said, we are hoping that you will stay with us for a chance to interview for full-time opportunities. Preference is given to longer-term interns
-Reference letter upon excellent performance assessment after completion of internship
-You will be using an email address within our organization

What We're Seeking...
-full-day commitments (9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
-5 days a week for 6 months *OR* 3 days a week for nine months
-People who smile and laugh even when things get stressful
-Commitment!
-Those who want to learn and develop their careers and ask questions

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
-Attend weekly meetings led by the Head of Marketing
-Brainstorm with the marketing regarding internal and external communication materials (i.e. website, newsletter, outreach documents, etc.)
-Contribute to copywriting, editing communication materials
-Brainstorm with marketing team regarding social media posts (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
-Contribute to social media efforts
-Communicate with external parties (current and potential partners)
-Give office/studio tours to visitors
-Report to Head of Marketing

Requirements

-Must possess interest in photography/media, marketing, branding
-Punctual, responsible, team player
-Passion for helping others
-Creative outside-and-inside-the-box thinker
-Willingness to communicate effectively
-We love people with experience in blogging, PhotoShop, marketing, interning and/or anything dealing with the entertainment industry; however, no experience is required! Just send us a note that you love and/or can do this type of work.
