ENERGYbits Inc. is a sports nutrition company that sells high performance plant-based protein tabs made from algae . Our customers are triathletes, cyclists, marathon runners, professional athletes and teams (NHL, MLB, NFL etc). Our six year old company is based in Boston MA and we just won a national award from Entrepreneur Magazine for entrepreneur of the year. Here is the link to the national announcement

Our growth has created three Intern openings in our Business Development team - in the cycling, triathlon and climbing markets. Your role will be to identify and contact races, athletes, sporting goods retailers or vendors in your market sector, send them samples and invite them to join us as a partner or retailer. You will also help us do samplings at local trade shows, retailers or races we sponsor.

Our brand is a premium product and we are highly respected for our quality and community building. We are looking for two Interns to join us who could eventually join us full time when you graduate. When you join us, you will get in on the ground floor of our rapidly growing and healthy sports nutrition brand and we assume you will be excited about working at a company that makes health and fitness performance a priority!

During your three month Internship you will be paid sales commissions that result when you sign up partners, races or retailers. Once your three month Internship is over, if your performance has been outstanding, you may be invited to join us, at which time you will also start to earn a monthly retainer


You will proactively prospect within your market segment to drive revenue by signing up Brand Partners/Ambassadors, Races and Retailers. This will require you to establish and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in your market segment. A commission will be paid for every partner you sign up. You will do market research, create excel spreadsheets, send emails, send samples, follow up with sales prospects, learn marketing strategy and contribute to the success and growth of our rapidly growing sports nutrition startup .


For this position, you must be a detailed, self motivated, very organized person who enjoys working hard and is looking for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a small, exciting and healthy sports nutrition company. You must have personal and/or professional experience in the market segment you are applying for since your own personal contacts will help you jump start your success. It would be great if you already had experience working at a startup or in sales/business development.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are imperative as are savvy computer and social media skills, especially Twitter. As you grow with us, you will be assigned additional responsibilities related to your strengths and interests. During your first three months, you will learn how to use Twitter and social media for business development.

You must be a college graduate (2016 - 2017) from one of the top colleges
You must be living in the Boston area
You must be able to start by May 2016. Sooner is better.
You must be able to work in our office at least two days per week (Monday, Wednesday or Friday)
