Description

We are a LA and NYC based boutique music publisher and production house specializing in music production, editing and supervision as well as sound design/FX and post audio production. We create custom music and sound for everything from feature films and commercials to web content, trailers, video games and virtual reality. We also host a growing library of production music as well as represent a growing number of independent artists and labels. We are seeking a motivated business development intern to help support our expansion efforts and to identify new business opportunities. This position will work directly with Sr. business development staff and is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the music business, marketing, advertising or other related fields. Ideal candidates will possess the highest writing and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and be interested in learning more about the music licensing and publishing business. Fluency with Google Drive and spreadsheet management are a must. Music lovers preferred!

A weekly stipend and college credit will be available as compensation. Additionally, we will be offering commission on any new business generated by your efforts along with possibility of becoming a paid position for the right individual.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of this position will include developing, managing, and enhancing a database of existing and prospective clients utilizing a variety of different methods. In addition to these primary responsibilities, interns may also be invited to participate in active outreach and pitching to prospective clients.

Requirements

Relevant marketing coursework
Strong and persuasive writing skills
Highly organized
Experience with Google Drive
Managing spreadsheets/data entry/CRM software
Friendly and outgoing
Desire to learn about the music publishing and licensing business
