Description

IET Exchange is dedicated to supporting international education through admission advising, educational programming, and cultural exchange activities. Our staff is committed to providing world-class programs, the highest level of professional support, and friendly, knowledgable service. At IET, our clients receive individualized guidance and an independent perspective – we help students make informed decisions to achieve their educational goals.

Objective: To gain experience in new business development and program research; assisting with social media, partnership opportunities, program development and promotion.

Flexible 10-20 hours weekly (schedule will be determined based on availability).

** This is an unpaid research opportunity, but individuals can inquire with their schools about earning academic credit for this experience. IET will be happy to provide documentation to assist in completing this process. Career opportunities may be available for those who demonstrate exceptional potential, and IET will provide a strong reference for high performing individuals.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate planning for program promotion and prospect development.
- Serve as a point of contact to external constituents. Assist with program questions and application inquiries; identify areas of opportunity and make specific recommendations for developing new business.
- Work with mentor to coordinate social media promotions, promotional partnerships, grow applications, and program participation.
- Develop, maintain and track promotion activities.
- Participate in marketing, brainstorming, and planning sessions.
- Professionally represent IET and uphold IET’s service standards and values at all times.
- Assist with other project tasks as requested.

Requirements

Qualifications: Must be a motivated and organized self-starter with excellent research and communication skills. Able to handle multiple projects at one time and comfortable engaging with international constituents. Familiarity with specific international markets a definite plus.

Must demonstrate good judgment, especially in knowing when to refer questions back to mentor; take pride in his/her work; and be eager to share enthusiasm with others. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required. Knowledge of social media platforms and foreign language ability a major plus, specifically Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai.

Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.
