Description

The communication and social media strategist at Fink Development will assist the founders of the company in developing and executing a social media campaign across several platforms. Interns may also assist in general operational tasks that contribute to the development of the business. Startups have many moving pieces that require constant adaptation. You will need the flexibility to shift tasks and projects frequently and should be able to readily adapt to changes at multiple levels.

Required Skills/Experience:
Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
Attention to detail
Comfort with ambiguity
Self-motivated and willing to ask questions
Self-directed with good task management skills
Critical and creative thinker

Basic knowledge of social media platforms (fb, pinterest, twitter, google+, linkedin), preferred
Interest in counseling/coaching/professional development/entrepreneurship, preferred

Development of Skills/Experience:
how to develop and manage a social media campaign
effective communication strategies
brand identity creation
business operations, and
startup development
as well as
how to leverage the skills learned during their internship for a future job search
the elements of a successful job search, and
principles of career development

Period of Internship: 10 weeks, start date flexible
Weekly Commitment: 5-10 hours per week. We are happy to work with your schedule and/or academic requirements.
Location: Interns will work alongside the founders at either the Fink Development office or remote location at 1789 Venture Lab.
