DescriptionDeVonna Empowers You is a Personal Development Firm that supports women on their journey to living their Dreams. Our products and services are designed to meet women where they are and help them live out their version of happiness. Based in Phoenix, AZ, however, our firm is location independent as we work with clients nationally on a virtual basis.
We are seeking an intern with a major in Communications or Public Relations/Marketing in their junior or senior year or graduate level, with social media marketing efforts and how to make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts.
ResponsibilitiesIntern will be performing the following tasks:
-Uploading videos, photo albums, etc.
-Find users to follow/friend/like our company
-Organize Product / Program Launches
-Design Media Press Kits
-Participate in creating 2016 Speaking Tour
-Posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
-Design Marketing Posts in Canva
-Tracking the growth and the impact of social media on our business
-Replying to comments, messages, etc.
-Report findings to the team
-Research and contact potential partners
-Consistently learn and grow, ask pertinent questions
-Ability create and upload Twitter & YouTube backgrounds, and minor video editing skills are a plus
Required skills and experience:
-Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
-Knowledge of social media -- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.
-Knowledge of digital media software – Canva and other Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred
-Self- Motivated Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
-Ability to identify a target market and "speak" to the consumer through social media
-Experience proofreading and editing
-Ability to deal with uncertainty
-Ability to contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams.
RequirementsThis internship position requires at least 10-15 hours per week.
Interns are expected to have experience with social media on a personal level. You must be able to think strategically and see how social media fits into a business' marketing strategy, not just "selling" to our customers, but building long-lasting relationships by providing value to them. Interns must be able to assist in formulating social media plans and then carry them out with our assistance. You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact.
