DescriptionWe have an immediate opening for an enthusiastic Marketing Content Creator internship in the Austin area who wants to gain experience in marketing, content creation and social media marketing.
The intern will create images for Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Blogs and Facebook and write blogs for Websites. Topics will include travel (concentrating on Central American travel), Fair Trade, Ethical Fashion, Fashion, Social Enterprises and business/individuals working to better the world. The intern will also have the chance to gain skills in SEO marketing and public relations.
Esperanza Market is a startup based in Austin that sells Fair Trade bags handmade in Nicaragua. With every bag purchased, we donated a solar-powered reading lamp to children living without electricity in Nicaragua. Esperanza Market internships may be for academic credit, but it is not required. All Esperanza Market internships are unpaid.
Responsibilities-Build brand through consistent marketing messages
-Create compelling content for social channels, newsletters and other marketing collateral
-Submit 3-4 articles/blogs per month covering a range of topics the areas of Travel, Charity, Poverty and Fashion
-Create videos and images for social media channels
-Brainstorm social media campaigns and contests with marketing team
Requirements-Able to work 15-20 hours a week
-Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
- Marketing/Advertising, Journalism or Business major preferred
-Need personal laptop, computer skills, some research skills
-Ability to be proactive and think on your own and blend with the team
-Strong creative writing and communication skills
-Strong editing and proofreading skills
