Description

If you are interested in the world of start ups, cloud apps, and technology in addition to being a strong writer, this internship is for you!

Workato is a leading integration platform based in Cupertino, California. We are an Apple partner company, Gartner Cool Vendor 2016, and were named a Leader in the Forrester Wave Report 2016. Before founding Workato, our founder was an executive at Oracle and began two other companies that were acquired by Skype and Reuters.

This internship would be remote (we have many remote workers and communicate using Slack) or in NYC where our content manager works. The hours are flexible as long as you meet deadlines. It's a great way to learn about the tech space, make connections with the top tech companies, gain knowledge in content marketing strategy (one of the fastest growing segments of the marketing world), and publish pieces for your portfolio.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an intern to help write content for our award winning productivity blog, contribute to social media, and help write customer stories. You will be working with our Content Marketing and Partnerships Manager but will be able to communicate with all departments of the company so you can foster your interests.

Requirements

You must have strong writing skills.
You rarely make grammatical errors.
You are familiar with Social Media Management and Social outreach strategy.
You have an interest in the technology space.
You understand what "integration" and "automation" means (or you are a fast learner!)
You are good at taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand.
You have a good attitude, thrive in a start up environment, and are responsible.

We use Wordpress, Medium, LinkedIn, Evernote, Buffer, and Slack.

You might be studying Marketing, Communications, or English. Those studying sciences with good writing skills are also welcome to apply!

We work with all the leading cloud apps such as Slack, Jira (Atlassian), Outlook (Microsoft), DocuSign, SurveyMonkey, MailChimp, Salesforce, InfusionSoft etc. so someone with a professional demeanor on the phone is preferred as you might be joining calls with partners and our Public Relations team.
