DescriptionAt Groceries Apparel, my creative/development team handles a wide range of tasks; developing and managing seasonal collections, coordinating hand-off of new styles to production, managing sample production and allocation, planning and executing marketing campaigns, and comprehensive branding and marketing for the Groceries label.
Our Creative/Ecom team is looking for talented, hard-working, new-comers to the fashion industry. Recent or soon-to-be graduates with some intern experience are preferable.
We are offering part-time positions on our team, with a full-time position offered to any candidate who shows exceptional work-ethic, passion, and the ability to hit deadlines without excuse.
ResponsibilitiesThe major responsibility will be assisting e-commerce operation including; coordinating with our warehouse team to keep all available product inventory up to date and live online, tracking consumer demand to understand what styles will be most profitable online, managing additional inventory procurement from our in-house factory, and developing and expanding our brand aesthetic and marketing through brand content creation- photoshoots, look books, social media and web campaigns.
To clarify, Groceries has a full-time warehouse and distribution team that will handle physical inventory and order fulfillment. You will coordinate continually with them and manage their efforts to promote our e-commerce business, but your focus will remain on marketing and ecom and not physical order fulfillment.
Every day your roles will change but on the large scale, over a 3-month period, you will help manage a 60+ piece clothing collection from inception, through development, into full-scale production. You will be expected to contribute on every part of the process, likely leaving your mark on the line through pieces you design, or brand content that you help create.
You will need to take on all assigned tasks with efficiently and without hesitation, understanding that every single project accumulates into our overall brand.
RequirementsApplicants must be willing and excited to engage in a variety of functions under constant deadline pressure. Extreme work-ethic and a genuine passion for brand development are an absolute requirement.
We also require a basic (AA level) understanding marketing and branding. Applicants should be capable with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and willing/able to efficiently learn Adobe Indesign. Photography, e-commerce and social media skills are also strongly relevant and encouraged. Applicants with front and/or back-end web design experience are especially qualified for our available full-time position. We currently use Magento for e-commerce but any experience with similar ecom backend systems like Shopify will be applicable.
