Description

Have you ever gone traveling through lesser-developed countries and found it difficult to find reliable information on public transportation?

ChickenBus is a start-up with a mission to solve this problem, both for tourists and locals.

Using innovative techniques, ChickenBus will make public transportation information from lesser-developed countries available through a website and mobile applications.

The company is currently starting up and will be launching crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo and possibly other sites. We are searching for a college students who wants to learn with us as we embark on this adventure and exciting phase for our company. Prior crowdfunding experience is preferred, but not required. We simply expect that you make a concerted effort to research successful crowdfunding campaigns and then help us implement one. We are looking for bright and talented students that want to develop their skills, but also someone who can help us craft a vision for the company and grow with us! Qualified interns will be given full autonomy over their portfolio of work.

As the crowdfunding campaigns close this role will evolve and explore traditional marketing, digital marketing, and social media management.

Interns will be offered a letter of recommendation that speaks to their strengths. In addition, they will be given the opportunity to convert to paid roles as they become available. There will also be opportunities to receive equity in the business as well as international travel.

Most of all, we offer mentorship, coaching, and guidance to anyone interested in business, entrepreneurship, and being successful in the working world.

Responsibilities

- Research effective crowdfunding campaigns
- Create marketing collateral for social media and crowdfunding campaigns
- Launch and manage crowdfunding effort
- Ability to exercise good judgment when interpreting instructions and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
- Utilize strong written skills and bring effective visual ideas from concept through to completion

Requirements

- College student working towards a degree in business, marketing, graphic design, or related fields
- Experience with online marketing, social media, and crowdfunding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Must be a team player and flourish in a fast-paced environment
- Open to constructive criticism and feedback
