Description

The Digital Marketing Intern is responsible for day-to-day operations of the company website, intranet and social media (“sites”). Maintains the quality, accuracy and consistency of the sites’ content, navigation and visual design. Also responsible for managing key projects, engaging and training users, and monitoring the health of the underlying technology, requiring a combination of communications and writing skills and moderate technical abilities and understanding.

Responsibilities Include:
Content Development and Management:
 Develop and write website content that will help achieve communications goals
 Provide editing support to cross-functional stakeholders to ensure content has a consistent style and tone and is of the highest quality and accuracy
 Support intranet initiatives, including writing, editing, developing websites/pages, and graphics
 Partnership with IT to ensuring corporate and stakeholder content remains up-to-date, fresh and engaging to users and ensure content audits are conducted
 Communicate actively with all main stakeholder and user groups
 Provide occasional training to users of all different levels (including average users, content owners, content editors, communities) on different topics
Site Performance and Maintenance:
 Maintain a sound information architecture (site navigation)
 Support projects to improve sections of the website/intranet/social media or deliver new content/tools through the website/intranet/social media
 Liaise with the IT Department on special projects and technical issues
 Liaise with IT staff around administrative tasks on the intranet

Requirements

Qualifications
 Associate degree or last year of college
 Communications experience
 Experience implementing or managing web sites, intranets and social media
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copy editing and proofreading
 Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
 Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
 Project management, leadership and decision-making skills
 A strong sense of urgency and proactive nature
 Ability to think and communicate with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders across the organization
 Knowledge of Internet/Intranet industry and social media
 Basic understanding of the components of common web technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
 Graphic design experience a plus
 High energy, enthusiasm, creativity and resourcefulness
 Strong attention to detail
 High level of professional integrity and confidentiality
 The ability to adapt to change quickly and to tackle unfamiliar tasks and requests with enthusiasm and resourcefulness
 Strong computer skills: webpage, Intranet and/or HTML editor tools, and social media applications
 Experience working in a global or multiregional capacity, with strong cross-cultural sensitivities
