Description

Simone’s Kids Marketing Interns actively learn through real-world marketing projects derived from our real-time business needs. You will spend the year assigned to a Simone’s Kids team where you will find yourself engaged in three major projects. Your project is directly intended to mature your business- applied marketing acumen, helping you transition from the theoretical classroom environment to practical business application. Through these special projects, you will learn and experience first-hand Simone’s Kids corporate culture and marketing strategy, while helping us meet the challenges that exist when marketing to Simone’s Kids donors across the country. You will also have the opportunity to travel with Simone's Kids to visit our projects in Uganda.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but aren’t limited to the following:
• Operating all social media presence (daily)
• Creating content for email marketing
• Creating online campaigns
• Creating new product introductions and rollouts,
• Doing competitive analysis and market research, local and regional marketing strategy and execution, guest promotions and events, packaging development, and customer-facing digital media
• Generating collateral materials for internal and external use
• Providing support in field marketing programs
• Support direct project manager on strategic project work as needed
• Meeting with key leaders across all functions(Board Meetings)
• Assist with various corporate events and marketing functions
• Spend dedicated time in the field (optional)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3.6 GPA
• Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior
• Proven track record of leadership, including multiple leadership positions held
• Ability to commit to working up to 10 hours per week for the whole year
• Strong desire for excellence
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to self-manage
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Works well in a team environment and individually
• High-level of initiative; self-starter
• Strong follow-through on projects
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated track record of success
• Solid presentation skills/ability
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficient in Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram
