Film Marketing Intern

This internship will focus on creating and implementing marketing strategies for AFF’s Film Competition, as well as year round events and general brand awareness. Interns will develop marketing plans, reach out to relevant organizations, universities, and publications, post call for entry information to websites and social media platforms, and keep track of each strategy’s effectiveness. Interns will be required to work a regular schedule within business hours (Monday to Friday 10 am to 6 pm), though we are flexible on the specific hours. A prospective intern should be comfortable with computers, especially Word and Excel, efficient, punctual, outgoing, and good with people.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with social media, designing flyers and other artwork, researching, compiling, and updating marketing lists, analyzing data, and attending/working AFF events. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a major plus.


We are looking for applicants who are highly organized, communicative, and self-starters. Applicants need to be comfortable with both research projects and jumping on the phone with filmmakers and organizations.
