Harlem Commonwealth seeks a part-time Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) intern to work directly with the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. This internship will heavily focus on increasing HCC’s visibility online and within Harlem. This is a resume-worthy internship opportunity.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties of the Integrated Marketing Communications intern will include:
• Marketing Strategy
o Help craft and implement the design of the organization’s overall marketing and community engagement strategy
• Social Media Marketing
o Writing and curating inspiring, engaging content for HCC social media for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
o Staying on top of trending topics on social media and strategize how HCC can join the conversation
o Brainstorm ideas for future content in weekly meetings
o Assist in the production of email communications
• Community Engagement
o Determine who the key players are within the community
o Seek opportunities for the President to engage with the community
o Development content for external communications (newsletters, email blasts, etc.)
• Special Events
o Assist with event planning, timeline, and logistics
o Events to focus on thought leadership inclusive of forums, roundtable discussions, panels, focus groups, etc.
• Training can be provided; great learning opportunity
