Description

Responsibilities

Example of Internship Description of Duties:

Trade Book:
Assist in the creation of a US/Canada trade book. A trade book is a market analysis of tour operators and their product portfolio for Flanders. Propose data points to be captured and perform market analysis

Consortia:
Assist in the analysis of US/Canada travel consortia. Define data points to be captured and perform market analysis.

Information fulfillment:
Assist with fulfillment of information requests received from tour operators and travel agents.

Database:
Assist with the database maintenance and growth initiatives. Add new contacts to database.

Trade events:
Research relevant trade/industry events in US/Canada in 2015-2016 and create database of findings.

Participate in staff meetings:
When available assist in staff meetings and report on tasks given

Office tasks: help with newsletter writing, packaging and postmarking mailings, responding to information requests/monitoring the info email box, making basic-level calls to services as needed, investigating new suppliers as needed.

Requirements

Interested candidates should be self-starters, possess good written communication skills, and experience in market research. Experience in tourism and marketing a plus
