Description

Location: Training, select meetings & special events will take place in NYC. Most day-to-day interaction will be remote.

The site features 200 (and counting!) remarkable women including model and women's health advocate Christy Turlington Burns, designer Tory Burch, President of American Express OPEN Susan Sobbott, HGTV star Cortney Novogratz, beauty icon Bobbi Brown, Founder of Learnvest Alexa von Tobel – all with the goal to create positive social impact for women and girls.

Claudia Chan also hosts signature events that bring ClaudiaChan.com to life with unprecedented networking opportunities throughout the year. This includes the annual June marquee event, #SHESummit. A weeklong series of global events culminates in a 2-day leadership and lifestyle conference designed to help women lead their most optimal
professional and personal lives.

Internship Description: Working with Claudia and her senior team, students and recent graduates will have a chance to develop strong professional skills to give them a competitive advantage in the workforce. Interns will receive valuable training and mentorship in helping them achieve a professional goal that is meaningful to them. Additionally, interns will have many opportunities to learn about women's media,

marketing, nonprofit, empowerment, event planning and interact with female influencers

and executives.

Responsibilities

Current Internship Openings & Responsibilities:

 Editorial Intern - Support editorial team with fact checking, writing bios, editing interviews, pitching newsletter topics, research, etc.

 Marketing &PR Intern – Support marketing team with brand presentation/partnership materials, marketing strategy, proposal writing in PowerPoint, basic team operations, timeline maintenance and research.

 Event Intern – Assist with event research, venue logistics, creative ideas, guest list preparation, uploading events on Eventbrite, managing ticketing, and overall event execution.

 Design Intern – Develop advertising/promotional materials, create website content (art direct images and type), design media kits and assist with brand presentations and brand proposals.

 Social Media Intern - Spearhead social media efforts. Responsible for helping create and implement strategy to increase Twitter fans and Facebook. This includes developing editorial developing editorial content for tweets and Facebook posts.

Requirements

Requirements:

 Strong writing, editing, and research skills (Editorial)

 Experience in marketing, public relations and/or business management

(Marketing/Business)

 Exceptional event planning, communication and management skills (Events)

 Experience with PowerPoint, InDesign and/or Photoshop, Quark Xpress (Design)

 Exceptionally savvy about all social media outlets (Social Media)

 Strong spoken and written communication skills

 Entrepreneurial drive, creativity, and enthusiastic initiative

 High level of organization and attention to detail

 Passion or interest in the advancement of women and girls
