Bananabel LLC is a Chicago-based start-up. Our website, (launching soon), is an online marketplace that connects customers with party venues and entertainment through technology and marketing. Bananabel is the world’s first website geared towards families, parents, and kids that is dedicated to online-booking for all types of party services! It empowers users with the tools and resources they need to easily research, plan, book, and share parties. Our goal is to revolutionize party-planning using the power of technology. Through Bananabel's innovation, we aim to simplify and improve the process of finding and arranging the venue, food, entertainment, and photography for our users' parties - and to help businesses reach those users.

This internship is an opportunity to gain excellent professional experience and transferable skills at an early stage company in a high-growth sector. The internship is unpaid, with flexible hours – approximately 15 hours per week depending on your background, skills, and availability. The job can be done remotely. There is potential for this to become a paid position after the initial internship ends.

Your responsibilities in this position will involve direct contact with current and potential vendor partners, by email and phone. You will pursue new clients and manage relationships with existing contacts. You will need to respond to inquiries and provide information about Bananabel and the onboarding process for vendors. Additionally, you will conduct online research on venues and event services in the New York and Chicago area.

Applicants should have completed at least one year of college (i.e. sophomore year or later) and should be comfortable using web-based email. Because you will be working remotely, the job requires you to have regular access to the internet. Experience with Google sheets is helpful but is not necessary.
