Boston Children’s Hospital, an internationally renowned not-for-profit pediatric hospital, is seeking candidates for Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 internships within our Marketing and Communications Department.
Internships have been designed to be a learning experience, with ample opportunities to support the implementation of marketing initiatives and assist with local segmentation and marketing to physicians, consumers and influencer groups.
Responsibilities vary but may include:
-Assisting in the development of marketing plans
-Assisting in managing the development of marketing materials
-Market research activities across all team functions, including competitive analysis both on and offline
-Assist with conference planning and marketing campaigns to drive event attendance
-Assist with execution of trade shows
-Work with CRM
-Provide support to social media efforts
RequirementsApplicants should be an undergraduate or graduate student in the Boston area who is majoring in marketing, communication, or a related area. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Office Suite proficiency and strong social media knowledge is a bonus, and will be considered when selecting a candidate. Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
As this is an unpaid internship, to be considered, candidates must receive course credit and / or be taking it as part of a formal degree requirement and / or receive funding through their university for an internship tied to their field of study.
Candidates must be willing to contribute a minimum of 20 hours of their time per week.
