Description
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease unrelated to diet or lifestyle, but requires frequent injections of insulin and consistent blood glucose management. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D.

Brief Description
The position may supervise other volunteers for assigned responsibilities, and plays an active role in organizing, coordinating, implementing and helping to expand assigned activities within the comprehensive development areas of the chapter.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Evaluate and expand programs in collaboration with the chapter staff and fundraising team and volunteer leadership
Help coordinate and effectively grow JDRF events like OneWalk, Gala, and the JDRF Kids Walk program.
Assist in recruiting capable volunteers for the organization.
Manage and maintain accurate and complete financial records for each event.
Ensure that the logistics and budget/timelines are met for each applicable event.
Build Social Media capacity for the chapter and its events.
Manage Chapter Social Media and Website

Requirements

Job Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or above. Some college required. Willingness to assist in the delivery of the JDRF mission. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Proficiency with computer programs is required.
