IMIO, a Chicago-based financial services company that invests in startups and turnarounds, has developed an exciting, location-based service application.
We are currently looking to hire a passionate intern who will share our beautiful vision of changing the way people interact with the world around them. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Director of Operations, take initiative, and develop your professional working skills

Position Overview
Marketing and Project management intern will be responsible for overseeing the launch of our product (social media application). The intern will review and help develop the current version of the app, augment the attractiveness of our app, create marketing campaigns/launch plan, and maintain daily social media activities. Creativity and originality of social media marketing, good communication/writing skills, and some knowledge in marketing practices are important for this position.

Responsibilities

• Improve our social media app by communicating with designers and developers
• Maintain daily activities on major social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) to increase our social media presence.
• Propose methods for enhancing marketing results
• Conduct research on best practices of marketing strategies
• Organize notes and deliver concise reports
• Additional projects as assigned

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student or a recent grad in one or more of these fields: marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, public relations or business related field(s)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Responsible, motivated and have good time management skills
• Social media savvy
• strong organizational, and oral and written communication skills
• Available to work minimum of 20 hours/week at our downtown office
