Description
Yury Gelman Foundation (YGF) is a non-for-profit organization focused on helping disadvantaged youth though the sport of fencing. YGF is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing/sales team. Our marketing/sales goal is to reach organizations/community centers in the New York City area looking for collaboration and potential grant opportunities. YGF seeks an intern who can participate in various stages of this effort including market research, business development, sales, and advertising.

This intern should be prepared to work for 6 months with option to continue, minimum 15 hours per week and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing/sales/advertising.

Responsibilities

• Assist in market research
• Assist in meeting with organizations presenting YGF
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of marketing and training materials
• Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
• Prepare presentations
• Enter contact information into content management systems
• Provide support to social media efforts

Requirements

YGF is looking for an undergraduate student in the New York City area who is majoring in Sales, Marketing or Advertising. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position. Big plus is previous experience in business development and sales.
