Project Footsteps is a non-profit organization that serves to inspire, empower and prepare young people to be agents of change and become social leaders within their schools, communities and organizations. Since 2008 we have provided youth driven program experiences both long-term and introductory level that have inspired thousands of students to become leaders in action.
A member of the Marketing and Development team will represent the Project Footsteps mission through a variety of different mediums. Not only does this involve creating and implementing marketing strategies, but also actively recruiting and planning for upcoming events, maintaining Project Footsteps’ social media presence and building relationships with businesses and communities.
Supervisor(s): Executive Director, Director of business and operations.
Hours: Flexible; 15-20 hours per week
ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:
Identifying unique opportunities for our organization
Creating sustainable relationships with businesses and community partners
Upholding and representing the Project Footsteps mission
Utilizing press opportunities to create unique promotions
Creating and implementing different marketing strategies and promotions
Maintaining and building upon current social media campaigns
Willingness to work on a set schedule but remain flexible
Ability to take direction on projects, but utilize your creativity and instincts in order to help distinguish Project Footsteps as an organization.
Well developed organization skills with a solid orientation to detail.
The ability to multitask and complete different projects simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Applicants currently pursuing a Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations degree preferred, but not required
