Description

If you've ever wanted to learn more about the inside of the game industry and app development, this is for you. Our small team has worked on some of the biggest games, but we left the mainstream industry to create our own indie game.

We have a game for iOS which requires a lot of skill and practice to play. It's been described as "fantasy-style speed chess," and we have a core group of hardcore fans. We're looking to expand this fan base by reaching out to YouTubers, Twitch members, reviewers, bloggers and tastemakers.

Aftermath is an army-building game, where you collect and combine hundreds of unique units to develop your own personal strategy. There are tournaments, guilds, PvP, boss battles, in-game chat, and many other multiplayer features. We release rare and collectible units on holidays and other special occasions.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be to reach out to tastemakers in any way you can in order to get coverage and expand the game. The challenge in this internship is that our audience is very niche, but those who fit the niche tend to love the game, so we need a creative way to get in front of the right audiences. Again, the right audience is people with patience to learn a challenging strategic game with lots of nuance.

Requirements

You must be good with outreach and be able to communicate clearly and concisely. You also must be familiar this style of strategic game (similar to Heathstone or Magic: the Gathering).

Skills

Required - B2C marketing
