Collective Benefit, a technology startup supporting non-profits with eCommerce solutions, has a unique opportunity for a marketing intern. You'll have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the brightest in the business - executives who are committed to helping non-profits gain the resources they need.
ResponsibilitiesWe’re seeking exceptional students (or recent grads) with a background in marketing, public relations, and/or journalism who specifically have an interest the social business space. You'll work directly with the Collective Benefit leadership on projects related to marketing, positioning, and messaging:
+ Establishing and maintaining a presence on the major social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and for creating and maintaining a blog.
+ Conducting competitive research.
+ Improving the Collective Benefit web site text and calls-to-action.
+ Storytelling for non-profit eCommerce campaigns.
This is an exceptional opportunity for anyone who wishes to gain useful experience in marketing specifically for the non-profit / social business space.
RequirementsThe first requirement is that you're passionate about helping others. The entire Collective Benefit team is tirelessly committed to supporting non-profits, both large and small.
You should be a great writer and a great storyteller. You should have a strong knowledge of how to use social media effectively, and a thirst to learn more. You should be interested in a career in social media, marketing, journalism, or public relations - in the non-profit or social business area.
We require a minimum of 20 hours a week at our location (downtown Chicago). Initially, this internship is unpaid, but will convert to a paid internship after 90 days ($400 / week) if both you and we agree.
