Department: Marketing

Position Summary:
The Franklin Institute’s Marketing Department is looking for an energetic and motivated intern to assist with copywriting for brochures and eblasts, brochure distribution, analysis of marketing initiatives, and administrative duties. The intern will gain new skills and build a portfolio of writing, research, and analysis projects.

Copywriting & Brochure Distribution
Write copy for eblasts and assist with copywriting/editing for brochures that advertise the museum’s extensive array of educational programs. Research and create distribution lists, manage the distribution of brochures and other marketing materials, and compile detailed reports on distribution efforts.

Analysis and Research
Manage and conduct ongoing analysis of emails, website, and other marketing efforts. Research and report on industry practices, new initiatives, and other projects as needed.

Administrative Assistance
General office work- data entry, meeting minutes, list organization, and other duties as assigned. Attend and assist with on and off-site events as needed.

Education Requirements:
Must be at least a junior or senior in college. We will accept grad students and post-grads looking for resume building opportunities.

Special Skills Required:
• Strong writing, organizational and communication skills
• Previous experience working in an office environment required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Attention to detail
• Works well in fast-paced office environment with flexible work style and ability to multi-task
• Willingness to accept challenges, work independently and ask for assistance when needed

Schedule Requirements:
Minimum of 2 days a week (Monday-Friday), 9:00am – 5:00 pm

Other Requirements:
This position involves direct contact with children. Interns must meet background clearance requirements before they can begin.
