DescriptionThis is for an internship for 2017. Do you want to be part of a new and growing nation-wide health initiative? Develop innovative brand marketing strategies. Research and plan advertising campaigns that influence thousands of people. Skinny Gene Project is unlike your typical 501c (3) non-profit. We are the first in San Diego County to be awarded Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) FULL Recognition as a provider of the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP). We are partnered with the CDC to deliver the program and continually collaborate with other local and state organizations to increase our reach.

Responsibilities-Create signage, newsletters, email campaigns, online promotions, etc.
-Provide support to social media efforts to target new audiences.
-Assist with special events to promote company and increase attendance.
-Research and analyze community demographics and product materials.
-Collaborate on team presentations for management and participants.
Requirements-Undergraduate junior, senior, recent graduates, masters in Marketing or related field
-Minimum of 3 month and minimum 15 hours/week commitment with a possibility of extension.
-Academic credit for the internship is at the discretion of your college, or university.
-The internship can provide outstanding background for students from a number of different fields of study. Skinny Gene will consider applicants without a public health background and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
