Summary
This opportunity intends to provide practical, hands-on experience in our marketing department with specific focus on:
• Digital Marketing
• Email Marketing
• Print Marketing
• Marketing Design
• Campaign Management

Patterson Veterinary Supply, Inc. is looking for highly motivated, personable, creative, independent and energetic recent graduates or students who are currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration with specific focus or training in the areas listed above. This role will report in to the Vice President of Marketing and interface with senior management, while collaborating with all levels of team members both within the Marketing department as well as in other areas of the company.
These internships are heavily focused on creating new methodologies, outside of what Patterson does today. The intent is to have interns brainstorm, model and build various marketing resources which could be deployed internally and externally. These internships are as much creative as they are tactical.
The intention of these internships is to define the role of marketing communications for Patterson Veterinary. Permanent employment at the completion of the internship is a strong possibility.
This position represents a great opportunity for an individual to gain direct experience working with a Marketing team as an integral contributor and gain hands-on experience developing tools and executing marketing strategies to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the Patterson Marketing team to create new ways to deliver internal and external marketing communications around Patterson’s products, specifically our technology, education and service based offerings.
• Collaborate with members of the Marketing team to create both print and digital marketing tactics/campaigns.
• Work with marketing team members to support daily/weekly/monthly tasks which support the current Patterson marketing strategies (monthly publications - design, layout, construction, internal communications, data analysis, project planning/management, etc.).

Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will be either a recent graduate or a current student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, and Business Administration with specific focus, or course training, pertaining to digital marketing, email marketing, print marketing, marketing design, and/or campaign management.
• Demonstrated track record showing the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in, or an understanding of, the animal health industry is a plus.

Timing
• Internships are targeted to be around 20 hours per week.
• Management may be flexible on timing based on best candidate’s availability.


This is a paid internship.
