PR & Social Media Intern

We are looking for an energetic, creative, proactive, and detail-oriented person to join us for our internship program. We are a team of creatives that work directly with the founder of the company: a published author and media personality.

This is an unpaid internship, but one that can and if given the school's approval will transfer for credit. You must have a personal computer. Commitment of 4-5 days per week is required. Strong computer skills are required. We would like someone to start as soon as possible. We will consider local candidates and/or candidates in school. You may do this work from the comfort of your home!

Responsibilities

Build, manage and foster long-term relationships with all media
Create ideas to parlay breaking news and current events into media opportunities
Propose and help develop marketing campaigns
Assist in writing media alerts and press releases
Content creation for social media posts
Content creation for email marketing
Answer and screen phone calls
Answer and screen emails

Requirements

Part time at least 2 hours per day.

Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or Media-related major or a passion for the topic
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Must have a great work ethic and be resourceful
Ability to handle working under tight deadlines with excellent accuracy
Dedication to the position and pride in you work is necessary
Up-to-date on Social Media trends and bloggers is a must
Experience with Photoshop and Microsoft Office and Mac proficient is a plus
