DescriptionThe Y9 Group’s internship program seeks to expose students to a wide variety of tasks and challenges. The intern will develop skills vitally important in today’s business environment.
Internship Position: Marketing Intern
Compensation: College/Academic Credit
Work Hours: Flexible Schedule
Total Hours per Week: 10 – 20 hrs
Age Requirement: 18+
ResponsibilitiesDescription of Duties:
Gain substantial knowledge in our company’s services
Study the demographic details of the target consumer and help in forming strategies to attract them
Develop, maintain, and use marketing database, which includes client and prospect information, mailing lists, and access to
Work with the firm’s client base in developing on-going communication tactics
Create marketing material such as signage, mock ups, e-mail campaigns, on line promotion, etc.
Assist with direct mail and marketing efforts.
Research and assist with copywriting and trademark
Write, proof and edit advertising copy and other materials as needed
Perform analysis of marketing and sales data, monitoring the impact of marketing plans, including revenues, and making
Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
Provide support to electronic and social media marketing efforts

Increase knowledge of computer skills and technology
Develop team-based work competencies
Establish a fundamental foundation in Marketing
2+ years of coursework completed in the following majors: Advertising, Marketing, Sales, or related majors
Minimum overall GPA of 3.00
Excellent communication skills and the ability to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual media.
Knowledge of web and social media.
An innovative self-starter with problem solving skills, creativity, ambition, and a strong work ethic.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and database management.
