DescriptionWe are looking for an intern to help us market Canvs®, our social TV software. Marketing Interns can expect to gain experience writing copy and creating collateral alongside our experienced marketing team. The Marketing Intern should be excited about the intersection of social media and TV.
Canvs is the only qualitative social TV platform to provide nuanced insights into audience behavior at scale. Accessing Twitter TV data from Nielsen, Canvs is becoming an industry standard, informing social media strategy for television marketing, research, production, and ad sales. Built using social media listening research from MSI Young Marketing Scholar, Professor Sam Hui, PhD, as well as real-world analyst experience, Canvs has been featured in a number of leading publications including The Wall Street Journal, Variety, The Atlantic, The LA Times, CNBC.com, Mashable and Lost Remote.
Responsibilities-Work with marketing team to create collateral, infographics, PowerPoint decks, press requests, and blog posts.
-Use Canvs to identify interesting trends and stories about social TV.
-Contribute to Canvs social media channels.
-Maintain and update press database.
-Assist with email marketing.
-Help with event management as needed.
Requirements-Full-time student based in New York City and able to receive college credit for internship work.
-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
-Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
-Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
-Experience with InDesign is a bonus, but not required.
-Ability to concentrate on detailed work in an open office environment.
-Candidates for this internship must attach/submit a writing sample, preferably marketing copy or business writing, along with a brief cover letter and resume as a single document.
