DescriptionSeeking bright, enthusiastic recent college graduate or someone with a passion for digital marketing. This role is a bit unorthodox but a great learning experience for someone local to San Diego that wants to learn from some of the best in the industry. Looking to groom someone that is web savvy, loves marketing, striving to find themselves and how their unique personalities can be used in a variety of marketing functions. You will be assisting our Chief Strategy and Marketing officer and be their right-hand person.
Cordial is a progressive email and mobile marketing platform. Built on the newest technology, we're disrupting a 15 year old industry. We help retailers, publishers, travel booking sites, community sites (dating, job boards, gaming) create more memorable experiences for consumers through email and mobile marketing. Imagine shopping on your favorite retail clothing website...you browse for boots on your mobile phone or tablet, you browse for jackets on your desktop computer and add your jacket to your shopping cart but then leave for class and don't complete your order. Later in the evening, you receive an email reminding you of the items you left in your shopping cart and an offer to get $10 off the pair of boots you were looking at on your mobile device. The email prompts you to complete your purchase but also notes that they have your items in stock at the closest store to your current location. That's true real-time cross-channel marketing and digital marketers just do not have the tools or resources they need to do this well. We're located in an incredible office space in downtown San Diego and founded by a seasoned team of software executives and fun loving San Diegans.
Responsibilities- Create signage, newsletters, email campaigns, online promotions, social media, community, client retention and prospect outreach programs etc.
- Provide support to social media efforts to target new audiences.
- Assist with trade shows and special events to promote company and increase attendance.
- Research and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials.
- Collaborate on team presentations for management and clients.
RequirementsFor this role we only have a few requirements:
You must be web savvy - know how people buy, browse, shop and interact with email, social media, search.
You must be a device switcher (work on laptop, mobile, tablet).
Must have some formal background in marketing. We’ll throw most of what you learned out, but it helps to at least talk the same language.
You must be FAST - learn fast, work fast, adapt fast, not afraid of failure. Pace is critical.
You must be somewhat of an entrepreneurial spirit. Have ideas, have passion, and willing to try new things.
You must have made good grades in school. If you didn’t have the discipline to make the grades, you likely won’t have the discipline to be a good marketer.
Must have great communication skills. You should be fun to be around, but also have the ability to use verbal, written, text, chat seamlessly.
