DescriptionEdifice Rx is a Building Environmental Quality (EQ) and Sustainability consulting firm that provides an array of IEQ investigations, including, green building (LEED), ProActive EQ, microbiological, health and safety, environmental psychology, sustainability, and other services. Edifice Rx, located 10 miles from center city Philadelphia, has been in business for over 20 years with extensive work conducted in the Northeastern United States.
The Edifice Rx Internship requires general knowledge of the sciences (environmental sciences, biology, environmental sustainability, etc.), with an interest in environmental quality and sustainability for the built environment. Student intern will work with industrial hygienist (former biology major), and other office staff members, assisting with technical report components, research, Environmental Quality equipment maintenance and calibration (once skills learned), office work tasks, and field work.
Unique work environment includes an historic carriage house situated on five acres of wooded land. Intern will be required to follow all best practices for environmental sustainability.
Student can be a sophomore through graduate student. Edifice Rx intent is to choose a strong candidate who has the potential to be a future employee. Position will required 12-20 hours per week. These hours are flexible, however, intern is expected to be present for projected hours of work.
Responsibilities Assist with business development per blueprint and marketing strategy
May assist with performing client assessment; coordinate with the office
staff to ensure client starts in a timely manner
Utilizes monthly marketing and public relations calendar to coordinate
activity with national focus
Assist with customizing and then disseminating press releases
Assist in coordinating various marketing methods including, direct mail, print
ads, networking, internet, social media, and develop new methods of
Assist with managing a (CRM) Customer Relationship Management System
RequirementsMust have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability
to prioritize in a changing environment
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and follow- up skills
Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Adobe/Design and Outlook required
Ability to learn other software programs
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
