Virtue is planning to take over the Industry in 2016 and we need a few Rockstars to join our team! If you are looking for the opportunity to not only learn about the industry but where exactly your passion lies in event planning; whether it be corporate, weddings or social this is the internship for you! You will have hands on experience in working with clients, Virtue’s preferred vendors and the CEO Ms. Joye Speight. Joye eats, drinks and lives hospitality and creativity. Joye has been in the hospitality and events industry for over 13 years serving clients from New York to Ft. Lauderdale. Joye has a genuine interest in ensuring that every intern that walks through Virtue’s doors leaves having accomplished all of their goals and are ready to step out into the world and conquer more!

Summary of Primary Job Functions:
This is a hands on, hit-the-ground running internship- perfect for someone who seeks a challenging and rewarding marketing opportunity within the event planning industry and is eager to learn. The successful candidate will learn research, marketing, event planning best practices, business training for the Raleigh- Durham territory for Virtue Event Planning & Consulting, Inc.
This position can be used as a part-time internship for university/ college students (preferably in their junior or senior year). We will accept graduate students that are interested. The applicant must major in one of the following areas to apply for this position: Marketing, Business, Meeting and Event Planning, Communications, Emerging Media, Public Relations, Hospitality and Tourism .

What You Will Achieve:
A real life platform to practice your skills, get involved with live situations and practice problem solving capability.
Valuable experience working with a small business.
Manage Virtue’s various Social Media outlets (Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook)
Credible references and job recommendations in the industry.


Familiar with Mac products
Superb editing skills
Proficient in WordPress, Adobe creative suite, Microsoft Office, Shortstack, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Info decks and HTML knowledge a plus
Ability to analyze social media statistics
Ability to Build Community
Familiar with ROI
Ability to design web/print communications
Internet and Cell phone access
Familiar with webinar series
Intermediate to Masterful knowledge on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
Minimum of 10 hours per week
