Description

Chicago Tribune Media Group, Chicago’s premier media company, is seeking a marketing intern to lend valuable support to a variety of marketing programs & initiatives. We are looking for a team-player who is eager to learn and driven to produce work that aligns with our standards of excellence. This internship is a paid position with a time commitment of 20 hours/week for 8 months (Fall & Spring semester). School does come first so we will work around your class schedule to come up with the best schedule for you!

Responsibilities

-Data & analytics support
-Research projects
-PowerPoint presentation development
-Maintain library of sales collateral
-Social media posts
-Additional support on various projects as directed

Requirements

-Currently enrolled student studying for a bachelor’s degree (junior or senior) required. Candidates studying business, marketing, advertising, graphic design, data analysis or journalism preferred.
-Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) experience is required; completed coursework in any computer systems for business is a huge plus
-Understanding of marketing principles & strategies, including digital media
-Must be comfortable with and have a solid understanding of data analysis and how to interpret data for practical applications
-Graphic design experience is a plus
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
