The Ridgefield Playhouse is a nonprofit performing arts center located in Ridgefield, CT. We present music, dance, comedy, children's theater, film, speakers, and all aspects of the Performing Arts. We're open 7 days a week and students who are interested in everything from marketing, graphic design, or who want to learn more about the inner workings of the entertainment industry are encouraged to apply.


Depending on the applicant’s interests, duties could include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the distribution of marketing materials in and outside of Ridgefield
- Come up with creative ideas to market shows
- Post on Community/online event calendars
- Research and gather information to best market certain shows
- Community Outreach
- Occasional evening/ day of show work required
- Create and update marketing plans
- Help with bulk business mailings
- Other ad-hoc duties


It is HIGHLY important that the intern is:
1. Organized
2. Reliable
3. Responsible
4. Flexible

It is preferred, but not required for applicants to be a licensed driver and have access to a car


Required - Highly Reliable, Accepting Responsibility, Highly Organized
Preferred - Excel, Word, QuarkXPress, Entertainment Industry, PR, Marketing and Sales
