DescriptionOrganicRestaurants.com is seeking motivated and creative Marketing Outreach Interns to work here in our office in East Boston, MA. OrganicRestaurants.com is a 3 year old Startup that has gone through a massive branding overhaul as well as an integrated customer listing management administration area that centralizes all listing information.
We are an worldwide online directly connecting restaurants that have organic items on their menu with the foodies searching for them as well as have a healthy eating blog filled with organic tips, tricks and information.
The Marketing Outreach Intern will enter this role with an exciting opportunity to gain significant exposure to the inner workings of a true web startup that has a global presence. Interns will also gain a solid understanding of the organic industry as it relates to restaurants.
Initially, time will be spent learning more about OrganicRestaurants.com, how it works, the areas of the world we cover, website analytics and the benefits of eating organic and restaurant industry.
Then, once comfortable with the above, you will then learn all about your specific goals which is to connect with organic restaurants owners and managers. You will be assigned a targeted geographic area to which your goal is make sure the listings that we have listed on our website are aware of OrganicRestaurants.com, know that they can claim their listing for free, help them understand the benefits of what they can do once they claim it and it's all free to use. We are helping them as they took the time to put organic food on their menu and we have the dedicated channel of where consumers are looking for restaurants that have organic food on their menu - so it is a win win.
In addition, to letting the restaurant owners/managers know about us and all the benefits which are all free, another message to communicate to them is that if they really wanted to get more traffic and results, then they can try out Premium Placement which is a way that they can get to the top of the list for their city for only $33 per month. It is not required and most listings stay with their free standard listing, but for some - they upgrade. And if they do upgrade, then the first month fee is paid directly to you as an intern.
In summary, this an excellent opportunity for a person that wants to gain more marketing experience, work at a new web-based small growing startup, learn more about the organic food and restaurant industry, add CRM Management skills(Customer Relationship Management), add marketing outreach to their skill-set and resume which most web startups appreciate as well as really make a difference helping connect consumers that are looking for organic food when they go out to eat with the restaurants and places that offer organic food on their menu!
Responsibilities• Provide research on potential and existing clients and the competitive landscape
• Managing and following up on digital marketing campaigns
• Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
• Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting, key clients/prospects
• Prepare periodic reports on screening, tracking, and monitoring clients and prospects
Requirements• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
• Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email and face to face but mainly by phone as we have restaurants all over the world so Phone and Email are more important than face to face.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
• Pursuing a Bachelors Degree or equivalent education
