DESCRIPTION: MARKETING, SPONSORSHIP, EVENTS & SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIPS
We are building our 2016 “BRND Squad”. In general, all interns should be knowledgeable about the digital landscape and proficient in usage of social media, technology, apps. and must be active on social media.
MARKETING: Will learn hands on client management and overall “big vision” integrated marketing (the “8 consumer touch points”) and specifically marketing project management.
SPONSORSHIP: Will have the opportunity to learn hands on to package, pitch and see sponsorship through to the closure and execution.
DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNS: Active role in development of management of digital strategy and assets for clients via social media digital images, viral video, and e-database marketing, EVENTS: Assisting with planning and execution of various events from large to small, including on-site activation.
OFFICE vs VIRTUAL
60/40 (part-time in office schedule with team, part-time work virtually)
Varies per project scope and level of experience. Must be able to get college credit. Stipends available for project depends on scope.
ResponsibilitiesINTERNS MAY BE INVOLVED WITH PROJECT SUCH AS:
Non-profit client participating in the 350th anniversary of the City of Newark’s official celebration in 2016
Non-profit client’s 11th annual music festival taking place in 2016
Non-profit client’s 3rd annual summit taking place in 2016
Other/Misc – As projects confirmed, as needed basis
Client service focused personality, "servant leadership" mind set (puts the needs of others - clients - first and helps them perform as highly as possible)
Excellent communications skills (oral, written) and able to articulate thoughts/ideas, able to communicate above skill level to senior executives as needed
Professional demeanor, even-keeled, customer/consumer friendly, engaging, affable and able to get along with others
Attention to detail and deadlines a must, with ability to adapt/flexible
Self-starter able to work independently and collaborate with agency head to meet client objectives
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Tenacious, persistent and possesses a "stick-to-it-tiveness"
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel; Powerpoint a plus); Proficient in Google products (Drive, Forms, etc.)
Proficient in usage of social media, technology, newsletters (Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, etc.) apps and learns quickly
Familiar with online file-transferring platforms and able to send both low resolution and large, hi resolution files
Other creative skills a plus
