DescriptionThe Georgia STEAM Alliance Network (GSAN) advocates for the improvement of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) education through out the state of Georgia. GSAN unifies all stakeholders by providing support, advocacy, and communication to advance STEAM education for underrepresented groups.
GSAN offers fellowships that promote the transfer of classroom theory to practice by cultivating an environment in which skills are developed in a professional setting.
Responsibilities*Implement social media campaign using Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest platforms to increase readership and membership
*Post weekly updates regarding news in STEAM Education
*Create press releases of organizational events and programs
*Maintain statewide calendar of events submitted by stakeholders
*Revamp website to attract targeted audience that share and use our website as a STEAM resource for government, education, civic organizations, K14 Community
RequirementsGSAN is offering part-time fellowships to graduate students or students in their junior or senior academic terms of their undergraduate degree. The Fellowship Program offers:
*Practice of learned classroom theory and concepts
*Real-world, hands on work experience
*Opportunity to grow with a grassroots organization
*Positive, professional, self-motivated and responsible attitude
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail
*An ability to work independently under tight deadlines
*Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and email
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Major(s) Targeted: Marketing, Business, Social Media, Education and/or Communications.
Average Hours: 10-20 per week
