DescriptionFinancially Mindful is a growing company that advocates for increasing financial awareness among young professional women. We assist young professional women with planning and building financial structures that are solid during all stages of life.
We are looking for an intern who is interested in marketing and managing multiple social media platforms. This person will engage with the community to promote financial concepts and increase financial awareness and stability in young professional women. This position will work closely with the owner and collaborates with internal departments on projects and assignments.
The intern will gain the following experience:
- Working for a small business in the financial services industry
- Branding, Marketing & Social Media strategies
- Creating content and campaigns for a specific target market
- Managing Email Newsletters
- Graphic Design
- Networking with influential companies & individuals
ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement new marketing strategies and ideas on social media platforms, such as website/blog, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms as needed.
Post highly engaging and targeted content regularly on social media platforms.
Grow targeted social media followers and e-newsletter subscribers regularly.
Create e-newsletter campaigns.
Promote and grow workshop, seminar and webinar attendance.
Run contests on social media platforms to grow followers.
Convert social media followers and e-newsletter subscribers to client consultation appointments.
Research and create content for social media campaigns.
Monitor trends in social media tools and applications.
Assist with creating benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs.
Monitor and report measurements to determine effectiveness of social media campaigns.
Assist with workshop, seminar and webinar marketing material and event planning.
Assist with workshop, seminar and webinar follow up communications to attendees (as well as registered but did not attend).
Research networking events to attend and/or sponsor.
Create media press releases and research media outlets for distribution.
Create non-social media marketing promotions such as booklets, brochures, postcards, flyers, ebooks and other collateral materials.
Consistently find ways to increase search engine optimization for the website.
RequirementsWorking towards Bachelor’s degree in Advertising/Marketing
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess creativity, flexibility, variety and growth potential
Possess Microsoft Office skills
Possess graphic design skills
Possess strong knowledge regarding social media platforms and must be currently active on social media platforms
Ability to work efficiently independently as well as part of a team
Ability to follow directions
Ability to problem-solve
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to pay attention to details
Ability to multi-task
