DescriptionOur company, Franken Enterprises, had a 50 year plus history in public relations and special events. Our office is located in a beautiful office building adjacent to LAX. This position will include event marketing and sponsorship development. Also, much work writing pitch letters and creating sponsorship proposals. Students will also learn about public relations and assist in event planning activities. Interns will be taught various marketing skills including developing and pitching event sponsorships. Students will learn how to research sponsorship targets, to create sponsorship proposals, and gain experience pitching sponsorships.
ResponsibilitiesInterns will learn how to design and create sponsorship proposals. They will work in researching target companies for sponsorship and the appropriate people who make sponsorship devisions at these companies. Interns will learn how to write effective, customized sponsorship pitch letters and proposals that bring results. Interns will also assist in helping to market our events and our services. In addition, interns will also learn about public relations and event planning. This includes work on the the Big Game 10K Weekend in Las Vegas, the Saint Patrick's Day 5K and Village Runner 4th of July 5K in Redondo Beach.
RequirementsInterns should have a strong interest in sports and entertainment marketing and events. Classes in marketing including consumer behaving, marketing, sales, marketing management, sales promotion, digital marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, and advertising are all helpful. Good research abilities, writing skills, and passion for marketing are important as well as strong sales skills. Organizational skills also a plus.
