If you're reading this, good. You can read spoiled Media is looking for a wildly talented marketing/biz dev intern who will assume a number of roles within our company learning fast, executing with precision, dexterity, and general run-of-the-mill-but-better-than-the-mill dopeness.
Namely, we're looking for anyone on track or just completed a degree related to business or marketing to assist us in the ever-changing media company game. We might be looking for you. Who can say, though?
What is spoiled NYC? spoiled NYC is the digital platform for spoiled Media. We're enriching lives by changing the fundamental understanding of digital content from something simply consumed to something lived. We’re telling you where to find the best drinks, eats, date ideas, concerts, and exciting things to do on the weekend, month, and season as a whole.
We're also creating our own experiences through events and giveaways with small ventures both within the Greater New York City area and around the country. Staycation at The Roosevelt Hotel? Done. Extravagant getaways to Boston and Miami? Also done.
Oh, we also do slick native advertising campaigns, interview features with people like Tituss Burgess, investigative narratives, pop-culture recaps, reviews, and previews, and list-based stories.We’re doing big things, and we’re on the move. That's a bit of what we're doing.
A bit more of what we're doing? Well, it involves all of this: sponsored content, both small-scale and national level newsletter-based giveaways, and, of course, events.
Wanna start movin’ on up with us? Kewl. We’re looking for someone hungry but not too thirsty. We’re looking for someone like you as long as you’re someone interested in the grind more than what it gives you, interested in learning everything there is about what we do, what we do well, what we want to do, and what you think we're going to absolutely kill. A lot of those things are dangerously similar, but we're also looking for someone to critically examine all that we're doing and not be afraid to say, "Meh, maybe not doing that so well. We can do better."

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
-Provide research on potential and existing clients and the competitive landscape
-Managing and following up on digital marketing campaigns
-Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
-Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting, key clients/prospects
-Prepare periodic reports on screening, tracking, and monitoring clients and prospects
-Success will be measured by tape measure only. Kidding. Success will be measured in how quick you can get down the day-to-day tasks and execute with aforementioned precision and dopeness
-Fight people (but not too many)
-Quick and thorough in learning all of the "learning" things listed in responsibilities

Requirements

Ideally you are:
-not a terrible person-business savvy (both from a foundational standpoint academically and street smart [read: have common sense, good at interacting with people, not a d*ck, etc.])
-hungry (both for food and success)
-intelligent (we're big on aptitude and competence)-quick-"a go-getter"
-organized-both someone who meets expectations when asked and exceeds them when we haven't said anything at all.

WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR:
-Someone either not in the Greater NYC area or within commutable distance of
-Entitled goons. You’re here because you want to learn and contribute. This is a place you want to be, but it’s going to be a grind.
-People bothered by other people shouting “Skooooo!” when something good happens.
-Someone clumsy (more along the lines of metaphorical butterfingers, but we're not in the habit of dropping the ball.

THE MINUTIA
Requirements/Qualifications:
-College degree or in the throes of obtaining one
-familiar with Salesforce IQ CRM
-strong verbal and written communication skills-proactive (self-starter/ go-getter)
-comfortable on the phone with prospective clients.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
-Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email and face to face
-A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
-Eye for detail
-Adaptability
-Patience.
-Good at asking questions.
-Good at recognizing when to ask questions.
-Not afraid to ask questions at all.
