DescriptionThe American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. The Program, Development Intern is a student who is assigned to an office of the American Lung Association of the Southeast, Inc. This is a non-paid position that is designed to enhance the educational experience of the student intern.
ResponsibilitiesThe Intern is responsible for assisting the assigned supervisor in implementing program and/or fund raising goals. Duties include but are not limited to assisting with event planning, promotions, editing, writing, donor communications, program implementation, volunteer recruitment and management, data base management and other duties to support the work of the American Lung Association.
QUALIFICATIONS: Enrolled and in good standing seeking a degree at a college or university. Internships are available in several majors for undergraduate and graduate level candidates. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Professional demeanor in dealing with the public a must. Computer competency with Microsoft Office.
