Are you interested in gaining valuable sales and marketing experience with a social enterprise aimed at promoting goods made by and stories told by survivors of abuse, conflict, or disease?

TO THE MARKET | Survivor-made Goods (TTM) aims to use the powers of commerce and storytelling to improve the lives of the world’s most courageous survivor populations. Our unique three-pronged social enterprise model includes:

1. Promoting survivor-made goods TO THE MARKET via multiple distribution channels. Pop-up shops, custom sourcing, retail partnerships, and our beautifully designed and curated online shop (www.tothemarket.com).

2. Offering a platform for survivors and their champions to share their stories with a new, larger audience of eyes, ears and hearts. More storytelling + more awareness = more impact!

3. Providing business services, like trend forecasting, management advice, and sales analysis, to local partners to contribute to highly covetable inventory, effective work environments, and more market-driven production.

Responsibilities

TTM is seeking unpaid, part-time, or full time sales and marketing interns for the Fall or Winter of 2015. The internships are all virtual, allowing interns to work from anywhere. Bi-weekly check-ins with management via email and/or phone help to maintain connectedness, as do weekly team calls.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have the following skill-sets:
Identifying potential sales leads
Crafting sales pitches
Following up with interested customers regarding potential sales
Coordinating with interested customers on orders
Ensuring smooth order and delivery of ordered products


Skills and attributes interns are expected to have:
Self-starter
Independent
Responsible and trustworthy
Positive attitude!
Strong written and verbal communication, strong editing skills (good grammar is a must!)
Creative eye
Lots of energy
Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.
