Description

F8 Consulting is a boutique technology consulting firm located in Jersey City, NJ. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working MARKETING AND SALES INTERN to support our outreach to small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the NY/NJ area. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, creative, and a self-starter that isn’t afraid to learn new skills and tackle larger projects. The intern will work directly with our marketing and sales staff to coordinate daily activities and develop ways to help F8 grow.

Responsibilities

Marketing focus:
• Assist with F8 Consulting website redesign which includes help with copy writing and editing, providing feedback on website design, and creating new keyword-rich content
• Use Google Analytics to create website traffic statistics and analysis reports
• Assist with design, copy writing and delivery of F8 Consulting quarterly newsletters in MailChimp
• Identify new free and paid marketing and promotional development opportunities for F8
• Conduct research on competitor marketing and sales materials and provide ideas to improve F8’s position in the technology consulting and managed services industry

Social media focus:
• Build relationships in our online community by maintaining F8 Consulting Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter social media accounts
• Use compelling content to attract and engage new followers
• Track social media analytics by using HootSuite software and report results to sales and marketing team
• Recommend and build a company presence on additional social media websites

Sales focus:
• Research potential sales prospects in the NYC/NJ area
• Learn the fundamentals of sales, including cold call preparation, effective sales pitch delivery, objection handling, advancing sales, and generating new sales with existing clients
• Research competitor product and service offerings and prices
• Attend and participate in sales and marketing meetings

Requirements

• Undergraduate within 1-2 years of graduation with a background and/or degree in progress in Marketing, Communications, or other related disciplines
• Maturity and self-motivation to work semi-autonomously as a member of F8 Consulting’s mobile workforce
• Familiarity with social media websites, basic marketing principles, and customer service/client relations
• Professional experience in a sales, marketing, nonprofit or customer service environment
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office required, proficiency in website CMS and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Impeccable organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to resolve problems with precision and clarity
• Creativity, flexibility, and desire to learn new skills
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites within driving and public transportation distance of NYC/NJ area
