We work with record labels, artist, music producers, dancers, and other music professionals in over 200 countries across the country.
The Web Content Writer & Social Media Intern will help to develop and implement a social media strategy, develop brand awareness, generate press releases on upcoming artist & producers, create high quality content and generate inbound traffic.
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual with some experience and a passion for music, writing and social media. This is a full-time internship for 6 months. We are willing to train candidates with minimal experience if they are go-getters who have demonstrated prior high levels of creativity and quality work (personally and professionally) and have proven leadership skills and desire to excel at a career in music journalism, digital marketing and social media.
ResponsibilitiesCreate content for our company and music artist web sites.
Create content for social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, G+, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
Create content for email marketing campaigns, newsletters, blogs, articles, etc.
Coordinate blogger outreach and community outreach activities to promote our company and website.
Integrate Social Media strategies with current PPC, SEO and link building efforts.
Conduct social media audits, gathering data around existing social presence and reach, current brand visibility, as well as potential audience size and interaction levels.
Stay on top of key industry trends, competitive insights and emerging social media and marketing technologies
Plan, develop and implement PR strategies, campaigns and initiatives to increase and improve brand awareness and perception.
Develop relationships with other businesses where mutually beneficial and advantageous.
Develop innovative “Content" to generate media coverage and interest and achieve a high level of relevant noise.
Be up-to-date with the latest digital trends and having an understanding of SEO.
Build and maintain relationships and network with relevant publishers, bloggers and industry influencers.
Obtain brand mentions and/or inbound links through high quality content creation and creative white-hat approaches.
Identify and work with venues, booking agents, blogs, and label executives to improve awareness and participation, including social media.
Have experience in or an interest in learning about social engagement techniques geared toward our customer base such as coupon creation and promotion, photo contests, video contests, polls, contests, rewards programs, etc.
RequirementsPosition requires proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and ideally, the platforms to manage them such as Hootsuite, ShortStack or WooBox.
Strong knowledge and professional experience in writing/content creation as well as social media and digital marketing
1 year min. experience in writing for a web audience
Must be enrolled in a vocational training course, community college, or 4 year university.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
