Impulse is an early stage mobile application startup focused on changing the way people find and meet new people. Our application encourages new human interactions above all else. We can all find cool places to go with a short online search, but events and places mean nothing without new and exciting human engagement. Impulse is the social application for mobile devices that connects nearby people for engaging and spontaneous experiences through self-destructing, time-sensitive events and conversations.
The Social Media Marketing Manager will help lead efforts to communicate and grow the organizations reputation, brand, and user base tied to its mission and vision on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more. Serving as the expert in social media and working with key departments, the Social Media/Community Manager will outline and drive comprehensive social media plans for various projects.
Firsthand real-world experience in a work environment related to field of study
College credit (where applicable)
Monitoring Impulse’s online social presence which includes the corporate Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, YouTube and Google+ accounts.
Develop and manage key business priorities related to brand management, including providing critical input to the value proposition process; working closely with the marketing director to ensure consistency of marketing programs and implementation.
Create marketing strategies to increase Impulse’s visibility and brand equity online.
Develop effective corporate brand campaigns and programs.
Measure customer and market perceptions of AMG – making adjustments based on market and results.
Creating engaging marketing content
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
RequirementsGENERAL CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
Enthusiasm and passion for marketing and technology
Minimum 3.0 GPA desired
Appropriate academic backgrounds, interests and possible career goals
Available to work full or part-time during normal business hours during the summer and part-time during school (if applicable)
Seeking a BA or BS degree in communications, english, business (marketing, communications or related area)
Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing and communicate by e-mail.
