DescriptionGMI is on the lookout for a Social Media Marketing and Content Intern. This is a great opportunity for a fast learner with a passion for Italy and for the wedding sector, and some hands-on experience with social media marketing and content.
You will be independent, driven, self-motivated and able to manage your time well. Excellent written English and good communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will also be someone who thrives when working independently, who takes initiative and can work with little direction to achieve the desired outcome, while also being an effective multitasker and team player.
You will be working to implement marketing activities and raise the online company’s brand awareness.
Responsibilities*Content Creation: Helping to create engaging and original social, newsletter, and blog content
* PR – researching and identifying potential PR opportunities: Liasing with brands, bloggers and celebrities to create partnerships
*Managing social media content calendars: Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing GMI’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
*Create a database of images, quotes, and lifestyle content to be used in future posts
*Identify potential blogger/influencers to build relationships and feature on the website
*Assist in building weekly newsletters and creating/sourcing relevant content and brands to feature
*Multitasking across several projects and tasks
*Building analysis reports and recommendations to improve engagement utilising analytical data and insights
*Digital Marketing – creating (including copywriting and design) and executing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, web and email (using MailChimp).
Requirements*Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Word, Excel
*High level of proficiency in written English
*Hands-on experience with social media marketing and content (e.g. WordPress or other CMS, SEO)
*Must have: interest in BigData and Analytics
*Good understanding of Digital marketing strategies and tactics
*Experience in the use of Social Media Platform (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+)
*Knowledge of Google Analytics, Wordpress, Hootsuite and other Social Media monitoring and managing tools / apps
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Hard worker and highly committed
*Knowledge of community management and development
*Strong writing skills
*Knowledge of Google Analytics, WordPress and any designing programme useful
*Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop and creative software experience is desirable
*Able to blend strong analytic and creative skills
*Highly organised and able to multi-task, work in a team environment and meet strict deadlines
