DescriptionGame Change Hers is a sports career exploration program for females. The mission is to educate and empower females while encouraging them to explore and pursue careers in sports.
ResponsibilitiesGame Change Hers is seeking an intern for its female sports career exploration program.
***Eligible applicants should be currently enrolled in college or a graduate school program preferably majoring in business management, marketing, or a sports related field or a recent college graduate. Applicants eligible to receive college credit for internship will be given preference. ***
•Assist with administrative responsibilities
•Create and update the organization’s social media content including blog entries, videos, surveys & articles.
•Create and update newsletters and promotional materials for the organization.
•Conduct grant research and sports related research via the internet.
•Conduct interviews and appearances with professionals working in the sports industry
•Attend tours of sports facilities and sporting events with program participants.
•Assist with managing special events and fundraisers.
•Participate in educational workshops, seminars & trainings.
•Assist with recruitment efforts for programming and/or young professionals board.
The ideal intern will possess the following useful skills:
•Computer literate with experience with Microsoft Office
•Ability to navigate social media sites using a computer or smart phone
•Customer service & good communication skills
•Ability to work as part of team on assignments and independently within deadlines
•Education or course work in marketing, business management, public relations, sport management, recreation, philanthropy or other related fields.
Job Type: Unpaid Internship
Local candidates only:
•Proficiency with MS Office & Social Media Platforms: 1 year
•High school or equivalent and actively working towards a college or graduate degree.
RequirementsMarketing experience or relevant coursework completed
Ability to obtain all clearances needed to work with children and youth
